Larry Raymond Fuglestad was born on Feb 24, 1948, in Williston, North Dakota to Louis and Violet (Pyon) Fugles- tad. He passed away on Thursday, Dec 19, 2024, in Arizona. Larry's family moved from North Dakota to Minnesota when he was 13 years old. The Fuglestad family worked on Merle & Eileen Olson's Hi-Lo Acres Farm in Black- hoof. He graduated from Barnum High School and went on to study auto-body repair at Duluth Technical College. Larry began his career at Paul's Auto in Wright and later became a business owner, operating Larry's Auto in Kettle River before expanding to Larry's Auto and Truck Center in Moose Lake where he worked side-by-side with his wife Darlene. Larry and Darlene were married April 14, 1989, in Moose Lake. They celebrated 37 years of marriage, building a wonderful life together in both Minnesota and Arizona. Larry was extremely talented in the auto-body and mechanic repair trades and enjoyed selling cars and trucks, but his true passion was restoring 1957-1959 Ford Retractables. Larry and Darlene travelled the country with the International Ford Retractable Club attending car shows and swap meets along with many other local car shows and events. He won many awards for his beautiful cars. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister Pat; son Patrick Strumbell Jr.; and grandsons, Travis Green and Patrick Strumbell III. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Darlene; brother, Lyle Fuglestad; children, Jackie Koivisto (Brad), Jamie Fuglestad (Tammy), Cindy Everetts (Jason); 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many special friends. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Barnum Community Methodist Church, 3762 Front Street, Barnum. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service.
