Tim Charles Thompson October 27, 1958 - November 9, 2023 Tim Charles Thompson was born October 27, 1958 in Moose Lake to Maurice and Lorraine Thompson. He was the sixth of seven children. The family lived in Rutledge until 1969 when they moved to a farm west of Willow River. Tim attended WR High School. Most of his life he worked as a truck driver. He worked for Jim Booker, Bartons, JD Donovan (St. Cloud), Tom Pahl Trucking (Oakes, N.D.) and Carlson Timber (Sandstone). Tim loved hunting and fishing and spending time at his cabin on Highland Lake in Two Harbors. He loved talking and laughing with people. He had a great sense of humor. Tim loved animals and he was the family's go to dog sitter for many years. All of our pets loved him. Tim en- tered hospice care on Nov. 3 with Essentia Health Hospice and passed on Nov. 9 in Moose Lake Village. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice; his brother, Van; and brother-in-law, Ray Mlaskoch. He is survived by his mother, Lorraine; sisters Barbara, Kathryn, Julie and Peggy (Al); brother Lee (Leslie) Thompson of Happy Jack, Arizona; special friend Shelly Gockowski and her children; sister-in-law Jennifer Swenson, granddaughter, Braxton; son, Brackon and many cousins, niec- es and nephews. Friends and family are welcome to help celebrate Tim's life from 2-5pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the End Zone Bar in Rutledge. There will be no formal service. His family will lay him to rest privately. Memorials are preferred to either St. Judes Hospital or Animal Allies in Duluth.
