Linda Marie Hansen, 81, Willow River, passed away Saturday, ....December 7, 2024 at her home with her family by her side after suffering with dementia for five years. She was born on September 4, 1943 in Moose Lake to Theodore and Henrietta Sarvela and was one of eight children. Linda graduated from Barnum High School in 1961 and started a family in Sturgeon Lake becoming a housewife and mother to five children. Linda married Gerald Hansen on Nov. 1, 2003. After living most of her life in the area, Linda and Jerry moved to Nicollett, MN until 2010 when her and Jerry retired and returned to Willow River where she resided until her death. She loved to paint like "Bob Ross," do ceramics, and sew many blankets and quilts. Linda also loved going to auctions, antiquing, and going to flea markets while spending her winter months in Florida. She had many occupations over her life including manager at Holiday Station Stores, manager for AEOA- Sr. Dining, several secretarial jobs, postal service worker, and a dispatcher for a Hazard Waste Company from which she retired. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dolly, Jo, and Joyce; brother, Kenny; nephews, Mike and Troy; and great grandson, Isaiah. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gerald Hansen; sons, Russ Dahl II, Lonny Dahl, Tim (Kerry) Dahl, and Cory Dahl; daughter, Denise (Scott) Dahl-Nuessmeier; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two more great-grandchildren expected in 2025. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 noon until the 1 p.m. service on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024 in the Evangelical Covenant Church, Moose Lake.
