The City of Sandstone is accepting applications for the temporary position of Streets and Parks Summer Helper. The primary job is lawnmowing but Helper will assist with street work and maintaining equip- ment and buildings. Helper is also responsible for compost pile on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Hours worked are generally 31 hours per week, Mon- day (8-3), Tuesday (8-3), Wednesday (8-5), Thursday (8-2), and Saturday (1-4). Additional hours are required during Quarry Days, August 9-10. Wage is $15.00 per hour. This temporary position runs gener- ally from mid-May to mid-August. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have turf maintenance experience. High School Diploma or GED required. Class D drivers license required. Experience with equipment and vehicle maintenance preferred. Pre-employment physical may be required.
