Duties include general groundskeeping and maintenance of parks, open space, streets, public buildings and related facilities; street maintenance, snow removal, equipment maintenance; operating a variety of equipment. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED. Previous turf maintenance experience required. Drivers license with ability to acquire commercial drivers license required. Equipment and vehicle maintenance experience preferred. Must be available for "on call" duty during weekends and holidays (split with other Streets & Parks Department employees). The successful candidate will have demonstrated dependability, responsibility, and self-motivation qualities, as well as the ability to handle contact with employees and the general public with tact and courtesy.
