It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Jerry) Francis Philipps, who left us on June 21, 2025, in Bullhead City, Arizona. Jerry was just shy of his 72nd birthday, born on June 24, 1953, to Don and Elaine Philipps in Winona, MN. Jerry grew up and attended school in the Spring Lake Park area. He proudly served his country in the Army before hitting the road as an over-the-road trucker for many years. For a time, he also owned P&P Enterpris- es just outside of Finlayson, a venture that allowed him to keep his love of the open road close to home. Jerry was a guy who always knew the value of hard work. Jerry was a true homebody at heart. He cherished good times, whether they were spent at home or with friends. Every moment with him was filled with laughter and goodwill, making those around him feel like family. He was preceded in death by his wife (though separat- ed), Linda Philipps; parents, Don and Elaine; brothers, Keith and Keven Philipps. He is survived by his children, Matthew Reynolds, Gerald (Cacey) Philipps, Emily (Sharale) Atwater, Micheal Atwater and Michelle Atwa- ter. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Julia, Elliana and Spencer Reynolds, Gerald and Eli Philipps and Leander and August Atwater.
